Northern Region Film and Television Archive

Once an item has been deposited in the archive it is placed in our state of the art climate controlled vaults. Here we can adjust the temperature and humidity of the rooms to allow the best possible climate to maintain material for years to come.

We regularly check material for signs of degrading, most notably vinegar syndrome. We record our test results on our database so that we can monitor any changes occurring.
