Visiting the archive
We are based in Teesside University where we can provide you with the opportunity to view film content on site, free of charge.
If you would like to visit to view material, we do ask that you contact us a week in advance, so that we can prepare film from our vaults to be viewed. When contacting us about material you would like to see, the more details that you can provide about the material you wish to view means we will be able to handle your request effectively and provide the most relevant material. Please get in touch.
While you are here at the archive, we will show you how to use the film and video viewing equipment. If you have requested it, we can provide you with a tour of the archive. To make an appointment to visit, we ask that you use the contact page. If you would like to discuss your film requirements, please telephone or drop us an email.
You may also like to visit the BFI Mediatheque at the Discovery Museum. The film exhibition North by North East features over 100 NRFTA and BFI films and television programmes which depict life in Newcastle and the North East.
